Google Books is a great place to browse for books, and most books have download links on their web pages, so why would you need a program? Google Book Downloader can do a few more things than the default download. Some features I like are:

- Saves books that are available in "Full View" as PDF files to your system
- Partially downloads any book from Google Books marked as 'Limited preview'
- Adds multiple books to a queue to convert all the downloaded books to a PDF file
- Access any book available only for the US using geolocation

Even though I live in the US and can access US only books, the best thing about the program is that it allows anyone outside the US to access those books using geolocation.
Do read the tutorials since queueing the books takes a few extra steps that aren't all that obvious. The geolocation tutorial has its own page and is short and easy to follow with plenty of screen shots.

Google Book Downloader can be downloaded as an installation file or a portable version.
The program installer is in .msi format - treat it as you would any program (.exe) file.
The portable version is in the .zip file.
You'll need Windows and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 to use it - if you don't have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 there is a link to it on the home page.
